The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is here, continuing the company’s tradition of launching phones with good specifications at low price tags. The strategy has paid off spectacularly, as Xiaomicrossed the $1 billion revenue milestone in India last year. While the company’s vast product portfolio now includes fitness bands, earphones, air purifiers, power banks, and other devices, smartphones continue to be the stars, and the Redmi series – of which the Redmi Note 4 is the newest member – has been a key contributor to its success.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 follows in the footsteps of the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3S, which were among the top selling devices online last year. The Redmi Note 3, in particular, saw a lot of success in the Indian market with over 2.3 million units sold within six months of launch. However, that model is almost a year old now, and on Thursday Xiaomi finally launched the Redmi Note 4 in the Indian market.

I didn’t feel the need to charge the handset the whole day and I was still left with 39 percent of charge. The usage included Wi-Fi tethering, a bit of gaming, replying to instant messages, checking mails and watching a few TV episodes.

I’ve had this for over a month and have put it through a battery of tests, Ive used several programs to identify what is on this tablet and if it really is as advertised. It is what it claims and meets the specifications outlined. I have loaded games, books and apps and they have been great to date no lag in games. This is indeed marshmallow 6 and is very fast. Love the battery life as well a real bonus. I expanded the memory with an SD card and that works like a charm. I have not put any sims in it so I can’t say that works well. Only one thing that bothered me was the sensitivity of the screen… even after adjusting to make the screen more sensitive it still could be better, but this is minor. I also downloaded apps to change the home screen page and layout as I did’nt particularly like the way it was. Works perfectly. The sender is very fast with shipping so that was impressive. I am more than pleased with this tablet.

Very pleased. The only issue I have run into is the camera refuses to save – thumbnails are not created. This is an issue with the Marshmallow system and not the hardware itself. I got around the issue by installing another camera app. No big deal. GPS and bluetooth all work, and it reads my SD card.

The single biggest thing that keeps the MacBook Air stuck in the past is its display. This is a 1,440×900-pixel display, the same as the Air has used for many generations. It’s also not an IPS display, the in-plane switching technology found in newer laptops that helps with off-axis viewing. For anything above an ultrabudget laptop, it’s not wrong to expect a higher resolution, especially in 2017, where even bargain basement televisions have 4K panels, and a growing number of midrange laptops are shooting past 1,920×1,080 towards 2,560×1,440 or even 4K.
So many new devices have shaved down the bezel, which is what we call the outer border around the screen. TVs and phones are nearly bezel-free today, and high-end laptops like the Dell XPS 13 or Samsung Notebook 9 are following the same path. By comparison, the wide silver border around the 13-inch MacBook Air screen may be the single most dated thing about the design.
